Case number 1 :
M.A. Hanna Rubber Compounding Co. (MAHRC de Mexico, S.A. de C.V.) Based out of Cleveland, OH, MAHRC is the world leading mixer of specialty rubber compounds. Having detected increasing demand from its Mexican customers, MAHRC decided to probe into Mexico in the early 90’s. An initial market evaluation study commissioned by MAHRC’s Sales VP favorably answered three fundamental questions: a) What was the estimated size and growth rate of the rubber compound market? b) Who else in the rubber supply chain (upstream and downstream) was also investing in Mexico at the time? and c) Was there a secure base of suppliers for the Mexican operation?. |
Following our initial study, MAHRC commissioned A.D.- Tec to prepare a business pro-forma and capital budgeting analysis for the proposed Mexican operations through which the Board gave the affirmative nod to management's capital appropriation request. A full roster of services, including executive search of their top Mexican management, construction project management, executive suite services and a site location study leading to their current plant and office address have significantly contributed to MAHRC’s being ready to begin full-fledged production and sales activities in early 2000.
